Yoga Nidra, known in familiar terms as ‘yogic sleep’, is an ancient practice that is becoming popular and sought-after in the West. In Yoga Nidra, the body and mind are in a deeply relaxed state. The intention is for the conscious mind to move to a meditative state, eventually coming into harmony with the subconscious and unconscious parts of the mind. Yoga Nidra allows you to access this powerful synchronization to holistically help with needs that are physical, neurological and subliminal.
The Benefits of Yoga Nidra The relaxed yet aware state experienced in Yoga Nidra can help to eliminate the root causes of negatives and stresses in people’s lives. The perspective gained in Yoga Nidra helps to reduce tension related disorders including conditions like hypertension, depression, insomnia, asthma, anxiety, chronic pain, digestive disorders and others.
Various research has shown that a single hour of Yoga Nidra is as restful as four hours of conventional sleep. Making Yoga Nidra a routine practice, you can learn to utilize relaxation techniques whenever you need them, freeing yourself of fears, conflicts, pain and suffering. Learn to teach and share Yoga Nidra and help others transform and ground their lives and find wholeness and well-being.
