Mindful Based Stress Management Open House

September 10 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

You are invited to an Open House to experience Mindfulness-Based Stress Management, a one hour event on Thursday, September 10th from 6pm-7pm.

If you enjoy the class and wish to continue and enroll in MI 500 Mindful Based Stress Recalibration & Retraining the class structure will look like this…

After the first night of orientation, students attend a 3-hour class, once a week (on Thursdays) for 7 weeks, and one 8 hour Sunday session that will occur between the sixth and seventh week of class. The course actively involves participants learning and practicing mindfulness-based stress reduction methods to improve their health and their ability to handle stressful situations effectively.

The MBSM course combines mindfulness meditation, gentle yoga, and group discussions to help individuals cultivate awareness and presence in their daily lives. Participants learn to observe their thoughts and feelings without judgment, fostering a deeper understanding of their stress triggers. Through guided practices and experiential learning, the course empowers individuals to develop healthier responses to stress, improve emotional resilience, and enhance their quality of life.

We are honored to have Paul Sugar, Founder and Director of the Scottsdale Institute for Health and Medicine Center for Mindfulness teach important class at SWIHA. He is a Certified MBSR instructor and has taught over one hundred 8-Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) programs and has delivered hundreds of mindfulness based workshops and retreats for over 25 years. It is estimated that millions of individuals worldwide have participated in MBSM programs. Since its inception, the approach has gained significant popularity, leading to the establishment of numerous courses and adaptations globally.
