Tory Dube, AOS Degree in Mind-Body Transformational Psychology
Specialized in Holistic Nutrition
When I enrolled in SWIHA’s online Mind-Body Transformation Psychology course I was in need of a massive change in my life. I wanted to learn about nutrition, but also dabble in other holistic modalities, and SWIHA was the only school offering this type of program.
I am forever changed by these courses. Not only was I learning the information that now dictates how now I live my life and how I teach others to do the same– but I was growing, evolving, and shedding old layers every single day. I overcame some of my biggest obstacles. My relationships improved. My life suddenly felt fuller. I now possess a confidence that no one’s ever seen from me before. There’s a real power to this information– and there’s an even bigger power to feeling aligned with your life’s purpose. I’ve always known I wanted to help people– SWIHA gave me the tools to do so in a big way.

“When I decided I wanted to help other people live a healthier and happier life, I didn’t really know where to begin. I scoured the internet to find a school that met all my needs and found that in SWIHA. Before I became a student of SWIHA, I had an idea of nutrition and wellness studies. When I started the online classes I was presented with so much more! The structure of the classes really pushed me to expand and grow but I felt the work load was comfortable while staying at home with 2 young children. The different areas of wellness I learned during schooling have helped build my knowledge to better assist my clients in a variety of areas. Having the combination of Nutrition and Urban Farming has allowed me to grow my knowledge of helping others as well as the environment to live healthier, happier, and more sustainably. I have a wide array of knowledge from my studies at SWIHA and gathered what resonates with me to build a successful business helping others. I’m now able to continue to stay at home with my children, while working and doing what I love–helping others! Now as a successful graduate, it’s more than just what I learned in school, it’s the community that has kept me encouraged a long the way. Attending SWIHA has been one of the best things that I’ve done for myself and for my family. It’s truly changed me life!”

“4 years ago, I felt like I was barely keeping afloat in a vast body of water, with no signs of land around me. When I discovered SWIHA, I felt as though I had found what I was looking for. Immediately upon entering the doors to meet with the admissions counselor, I felt a peace that I had not felt in a very long time.
I am Canadian Citizen, and was unaware of the steps required for me to obtain the Student Visa required for me to obtain a post-secondary education in the USA. I was extremely fortunate to have the assistance of so many incredible people at SWIHA to help me through the entire process. From the admissions staff to the administration, and everyone in between, they made every aspect of attending SWIHA a reality for me.
When I began SWIHA, I had not been a full-time student since my grade 12 year at highschool, back in 1994. This was an extremely overwhelming experience, but my fellow students, the faculty and the support-staff at SWIHA made every effort to make obtaining a post-secondary education enjoyable.
While attending SWIHA, I had the pleasure of meeting some incredible teachers that would forever change my life for the better. The support, kindness and sincerity that they extended was beyond anything I could have ever hoped for or imagined. So many of the teachers regularly went above and beyond to ensure that I, and my fellow students, felt supported throughout our programs and provided us with an incredible platform to spring into the next level of our lives.
I am so extremely thankful to each and every one of the faculty that provided the space, education and support to help guide me along the journey. I learned so much about myself, manifesting the life I want and building the path to my successful future. In January 2014, I obtained my degree. As I travel through the trials and tribulations of being an entrepreneur, I am grateful that there is continual support through the SWIHA Career Center as well as the opportunity to audit any of the classes and programs I have already completed. This provides me with a tremendous amount of comfort, knowing that I will never be alone along my journey to success.”
