Advanced Skincare Practitioner & Laser Technician Diploma

780 Hours | 31 Credits | 35 Weeks Full-Time (Day) | 55 Weeks Full-Time (Evening)

Our 780 hour program is ideal for students who want to become a Licensed Aesthetician and earn a dual certification as a Cosmetic Laser Technician. The curriculum of our 600-hour Natural Aesthetics Practitioner program is combined with the coursework and hands-on training of our 180-hour Cosmetic Laser Technician program. This dual certification from Southwest Institute of Natural Aesthetics is a winning combination for a fulfilling and profitable career. We offer convenient day or evening programs to suit the busy schedules of our students.

Once students complete the aesthetics portion of the program, they are ready to begin the laser training. Our state-of-the-art program exceeds the stringent requirements of the Arizona Radiation Regulatory Agency (ARRA) by offering the required 40 hours of Laser and Intense Pulse Light training plus many hours of clinical observations and hands-on treatments.

The Cosmetic Laser Technician certification program is a combination of lecture, observed procedures, and hands-on training during an internship that offers the student the unique opportunity of training in a real world setting, providing services to the public at SWINA’s beautiful Student Day Spa.

Our state-of-the-art program exceeds the stringent requirements of the Arizona Radiation Regulatory Agency (ARRA).

Day Schedule

Tuesday through Friday, from 8:30-4:30pm for the first 8 weeks. Thereafter, students attend class 8:30-12:30pm, and are required to complete an additional 8 hours per week toward their clinic internship.

Evening Schedule

Tuesday through Thursday, from 6:00pm to 10:00pm for the first 16 weeks. Thereafter, students attend class on Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:00pm to 10:00pm, and are required to complete an additional 4 hours per week towards their clinic internship.

SWINA prepares all of our students to pass both the written and practical “Mock” State Board exams. This preparation offers a real life experience in passing the actual licensing exams. All Students are required to participate in both theory education and “hands-on” practical work on fellow students, models and clientele.

Tuition Assistance

SWIHA is a nationally-accredited college approved by the United States Department of Education. Students enrolled in programs of 600 hours or more may qualify for Federal Student Aid in the form of Pell grants and student loans. Students may be eligible for Federal financial aid for Yoga-integrated programs and both the 600 & 800 hour YTT diploma programs. Title IV Financial Aid is available to those who qualify.
