Spirit Directed

A deep understanding of the mind-body-spirit connection is evident in the culture, community and curriculum at SWIHA. The spiritual nature of life, death, health and healing is supported throughout the school. While SWIHA does not subscribe to or endorse a specific doctrine or religious philosophy, students are always welcome to embrace their own beliefs in a higher power and divine presence through prayer, meditation and great inspiration.

Community Centered

In gratitude of the great success of our school, SWIHA gives back by being actively involved in the community. Information for our students and staff on volunteer service opportunities is continuously updated. Each month SWIHA invites the public to a complimentary community event featuring a motivational and uplifting presentation. Following the event, SWIHA students offer complementary holistic mini sessions such as Reiki and Life Coaching.

Choice and Flexibility

A wide array of electives or primary specialties is available in each program in addition to the required core classes. This gives students the freedom to discover and develop their unique gifts and talents. SWIHA understands that not everyone can attend school full-time, Monday through Friday. Evening, weekend and online classes allow maximum flexibility to create a schedule that can work for anyone.

Individuality and Diversity

No two people or life situations are identical. We help students assess their unique learning styles, fears, individual challenges, dreams and gifts to find the path that is right for them. One of the most powerful tools students already possess is intuition. SWIHA encourages students to enter programs and take classes to which they are intuitively drawn.

Spiritual Harmony

SWIHA’s campus is not constrained to any particular or specific religious denomination and our programs honor the vast range of faiths and belief systems of every individual. We embrace the philosophy that “there are many paths that lead to the top of the mountain.” SWIHA respects the freedom of every person to have their own path.

SWIHA program graduates often say they experienced profound personal transformation in addition to a quality education. Many students feel positive life changes soon after beginning their courses. Self-healing and self-empowerment is inherent in our training programs, encouraging students to embrace personal healing and growth before going out into the world to offer professional healing and growth.

Lifelong Learning

Dedicated, accomplished instructors who actively practice in their field of healing arts teach SWIHA’s state-recognized, nationally accredited programs and comprehensive training. All of our diploma and certificate programs are designed to prepare students to enter their chosen field at an introductory level. Those continuing their education with more advanced holistic health degree programs are often able to take classes while working part-time in their chosen area.

Dedication to Success

SWIHA’s Success Center entrepreneurial division is continuously available to help students meet goals of gainful employment or entrepreneurship through life-long assistance with marketing, résumé and portfolio development, business coaching and more. SWIHA provides students and alumni with ongoing career placement assistance for those joining established businesses as well as entrepreneurial support to those creating and growing their own private practices.

Environmental Stewardship

SWIHA advocates environmental sustainability through its holistic health-care programs. Teaching students ‘green healthcare’ by creating wellness using ecological, non-toxic resources, ancient healing modalities, holistic nutrition and natural stress management techniques. We go beyond the Hippocratic Oath of “do no harm” – we teach conscious health professionals to “do more good.”
