Certificate of Excellence in Reiki – Traditional
Reiki is one of the more widely known forms of energy healing. Considered a complete system of holistic healing and personal development, Reiki is an ancient Japanese practice using ‘Universal Life Energy’ or ‘God-directed Energy’ for self-healing, healing or relaxing others, developing higher consciousness and fulfilling a spiritual purpose. Traditional Reiki is taught based on the techniques handed down for generations.

The term “Reiki” is a combination of two Japanese characters – Rei which means “spiritual” or “sacred” and Ki which means “energy.” In the West, Reiki is often described as healing therapy for the universal life force energy – an unseen force that gives us life and flows through us. It is believed when this life force energy is low, we are more likely to become stressed or ill. When it is high, we are more joyful and healthy. Reiki is a clothed modality administered by channeling energy through the hands, and can have remarkable healing effects. Treatments are often described as feeling like a warm, glowing radiance flowing through and around the body.
Although Reiki training involves learning symbols and techniques, the healing ability itself is not “taught” in the usual sense. It is transferred to the student by a Reiki Master during an “attunement,” allowing the student to tap into the unlimited supply of universal life force energy.
