We are the massage school with more choices!
While many Arizona massage schools demand that their students follow a rigid, “cookie cutter” schedule of courses, Southwest Institute of Healing Arts offers what matters most: the flexibility to choose what works best for YOU.
All of our programs exceed the 700-hour requirement for massage therapy training set by the Arizona State Board of Massage Therapy. While SWIHA teaches all of the core competencies required of a classically-educated massage therapist, we also provide our students with the unique opportunity to train in primary holistic wellness specialties focusing on the mind-body-soul connection, including:
- Cranial Unwinding
- Medical Massage
- Spa Treatments
- Special Touch
Earning a certification in one of the above areas will give you a distinct professional advantage over non-specialized licensed massage therapists when applying for employment or starting your own private massage practice.

- Fibromyalgia Therapy
- Thai Massage
