SWIHA’s Yoga Teacher Training programs are presented at Spirit of Yoga, our beautiful yoga education facility and studio located in a serene, park-like business complex in Tempe, Arizona. Spirit of Yoga is a sanctuary for those practicing and learning the art and science of yoga. Yoga Teacher Training as well as regularly scheduled community yoga classes are held in its three spacious, beautifully-appointed studio spaces. In the final weeks of training, yoga teachers-to-be are able to design and teach actual studio classes as part of their training, giving them the unique opportunity for hands-on yoga teaching to groups.
Becoming a successful Yoga Teacher involves more than completing a training program and obtaining accreditation. To support graduates, SWIHA offers a full-service Success Center, where all graduates receive a life-long commitment of job placement assistance, entrepreneurial and career coaching, resume guidance, and full licensing support.
This 600-hour program is designed for students planning a career or lifestyle involving many areas of yoga and prepares students to teach to groups or individuals. Starting every other month, students can enroll in six different modules independently or as a whole. This allows the freedom to select specialty areas you feel will best serve your unique yoga style and interests. Along with these useful modules, students choose one primary specialty totaling 100 hours plus 100 hours of beneficial yoga electives, or one primary specialty totaling 200 hours.
All of SWIHA’s diploma programs, including the 200, 600, and 800 hour Yoga Teacher Training allow successful graduates to become registered as Yoga teachers through the internationally-recognized Yoga Alliance® Organization and carry the official designation “RYT” (Registered Yoga Teacher). This designation is usually required for those seeking employment as yoga teachers.
All students who remain enrolled in the Yoga Teacher Training program receive a complimentary unlimited pass to our scheduled studio yoga classes at Spirit of Yoga, SWIHA Yoga Studio.
